Rowland Door Services Limited has serviced the needs of its customers for over 30 years in the supply, installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of industrial doors and loading bay equipment. With head offices in Birmingham, the company is strategically located to fully cover the UK providing a 24/7 dedicated service approach.

Vehicle Tracking

Rowland Door Services monitors a fleet of 15 cars and vans using Inseego. This has provided added visibility and control over the company’s in-house team of engineers that are responsible for installations, servicing, refurbishments and repairs. From the company's central base, its service team is using the system to support the day-to-day operation and help meet customer service promises. For example, live tracking data is being used to update customers with accurate arrival times and respond to any incoming service-related queries.

30+ years of fleet tracking success in the UK

Vehicle Security

Inseego has been used to safely recover two cars following the theft of the vehicles from outside an employee’s house in South Birmingham. The system was able to pinpoint the precise location of the stolen cars 3-4 miles away, so the company could liaise with the police to organise a safe recovery. Following the incident, Rowland Door Services also set up email notifications to alert of any unauthorised vehicle movements, which has provided the company with added peace of mind.

Fleet Reporting

Inseego is enabling Rowland Door Services to create a range of reports using highly-accurate historical data to streamline administrative processes, reduce costs and achieve operational compliance. In particular, the company has been able to reduce overtime claims by cross-referencing timesheets against the tracking information, while unauthorised vehicle usage has been eliminated by identifying any out of hours journeys.

We have been using vehicle tracking for more than 15 years and upgraded to Inseego around seven years ago. We find the system simple to use, providing us with the exact information and insight we need to better manage our engineering resources and deliver an excellent service while protecting our vehicle fleet. The team at Inseego is also always on-hand to answer any questions we have and offer us guidance.
