SAN DIEGO – Inseego Corp. (Nasdaq: INSG), a leader in 5G and IoT device-to-cloud solutions, today announced the availability of Inseego Connect™ cloud management for FirstNet customers. This SaaS solution gives users the ability to remotely manage and control all the Inseego MiFi® 8000 mobile hotspots that are connected to the FirstNet network.
Inseego Connect is a cloud-based platform that can be accessed through a web interface, enabling IT administrators to remotely manage Inseego devices deployed across their network easily and efficiently.
FirstNet is the only nationwide, high-speed broadband communications platform dedicated to and purpose-built for America’s first responders and the extended public safety community. It is built with AT&T in public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority), an independent agency within the federal government.
“We are proud to make Inseego Connect available to FirstNet subscribers,” said Inseego President Ashish Sharma. “With so much growth in remote connectivity, public safety organizations need the ability to seamlessly configure, deploy and manage their distributed devices, push out security patches, analyze data usage and more. Inseego Connect allows them to remotely manage their Inseego devices through a single pane of glass.”
“We’re committed to helping our FirstNet customers manage the devices that connect to our nationwide network,” said Scott Agnew, assistant vice president, FirstNet Program at AT&T. “This software solution is a valuable addition to the Inseego MiFi hotspots and can help FirstNet subscribers increase efficiency for their remote connectivity and critical communications. In today’s environment, that remote flexibility is important for public safety.”
Device visibility and control for applications
By combining MiFi mobile broadband with Inseego Connect, FirstNet customers can benefit from a wide range of use cases. First responders can quickly deploy (and redeploy) a pool of devices for mobile command centers, shelters, clinics, clean-up crews and other episodic needs during emergency or disaster response. By setting geofences with alerts, they can control where the devices are used. Remote GPS tracking also allows commanders to know where MiFi-equipped first responders are at all times, even if they’re away from their vehicles.
Inseego Connect allows MiFi 8000 users on AT&T and FirstNet networks to:
