It provides a straightforward solution to OEM manufacturers and the fastest route to an integrated high-speed wireless solution. Additionally, the embedded module is optimized for the 1900 band making it more cost effective than multi-band modules. The Expedite C201 will be available in the Fall of 2002.
"The Expedite C201 offers a unique high-speed, flexible architecture and has been used by two of the nation's leading carriers to test Mobile IP," commented Peter Leparulo, senior vice president of CDMA operations for Novatel Wireless. "It can be utilized in a whole range of applications from out-patient monitoring to public safety emergencies and its Mobile IP capabilities are ideal for businesses and organizations that need to access and transfer data-intensive files. We will market this higher speed, low comparative cost alternative to both our existing customers and new accounts across the country."
